Marisol Schultheis PA-C

Marisol Schultheis received her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from New College of Florida in 2010. In June 2014, Marisol earned her Master of Physician Assistant studies from the University of Florida. Marisol originally joined the Bay Surgical Specialists team in August 2014. In 2016 she explored Plastic Surgery where she became proficient in injectables such as Botox and fillers as well as energy based treatments. Due to her passion for Vascular Surgery, Marisol has now rejoined the Bay Surgical Specialists team where she works with Dr. Almond and Dr. Collins to provide excellent care for our patients. Marisol is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.

Drew Obermeier PA-C

Drew Obermeier PA-C

Drew received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Exercise Science, specializing in Human Performance from the University of Central Florida in 2014. After finishing his undergraduate studies, he continued his education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida, earning his Master of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2018. Drew joined the Bay Surgical Specialists team in September, 2018 where he works with Dr. St. Julien in General Surgery. Drew is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.

Tracy Morningstar, PA-C

Tracy Morningstar, PA-C

Tracy was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida Honors College in 2011, graduating summa cum laude with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Public Health. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida, earning her Master of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2013. Tracy joined the Bay Surgical Specialists team in October, 2016 after working in the field of medical aesthetics for three years. She now works with Dr Almond, specializing in Vascular Surgery. Tracy is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.

Brittany Pettenger PA-C

Brittany Pettenger PA-C

Brittany was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida in 2016, graduating cum laude with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Public Health. While completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as an Anesthesia Technician for an outpatient surgery center, where she discovered her love for surgery. Brittany continued her academic endeavors at Nova Southeastern University - Orlando, where she graduated with high honors earning her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2019. Brittany is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. In her personal time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family, music, and is an avid sports fan. Brittany joined our practice in September 2019. As a member of the Bay Surgical Specialists team, Brittany will work alongside our Vascular Surgeons Dr. Collins, Dr. Yang, and Dr. Almond to provide exceptional healthcare to our community.

Carlee Freed

Carlee Freed

Carlee was born and raised in West Palm Beach. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida where she graduated cum laude majoring in Health Sciences. After graduation, she worked as a CNA for the Moffitt Cancer Center. She graduated with a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Florida. She is currently a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. Carlee assists Dr. Huguet in surgery and assists with seeing patients.

Kelly Range

Kelly Range

Kelly was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University in 2012. Following graduation, she worked as a registered nurse in the ICU. After 4 years, she transferred to the post-anesthesia care unit where she developed a passion for general surgery and bariatric medicine. Kelly decided to continue her education at the University of South Florida, where she graduated with her Master of Science as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2019. Kelly will be working with Dr. Huguet to provide education, support, and resources to bariatric patients and their families to increase their understanding of metabolic health and bariatric surgery.
