Dr. Collins received his medical degree from the University of South Florida and served his internship and residency in general surgery at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Collins is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Pinellas County Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Almond earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and served his residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. Almond also completed a fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is board certified in both General and Vascular surgery. Dr. Almond is a member of the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, the Society of Vascular Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the Florida Medical Association and the Pinellas County Medical Association.
Dr. Yang was raised in Vancouver, Canada. He graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience. He spent two years in the Neuroplasticity Laboratory at Harvard Medical School working on clinical MRI and behavioral research. He then earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2011 and completed his general surgery residency at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Medical Center in 2017. Dr. Yang went on to complete a fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of South Florida in 2019. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Yang is board certified in general surgery and board eligible in vascular surgery. He focuses his practice on vascular surgery.
Dr. Szpila was born in the Philippines on Clark Air Force Base and grew up in a military family. By 2002, he had made his way to Conway, Arkansas where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas, graduating with honors in 2006. He eventually went on to Little Rock to receive his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2010. His studies would soon bring him southeast to Florida, where he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, completing his General Surgery Residency in 2018. During his Residency, he finished a T32 Fellowship while doing research involving the human response to both sepsis and trauma. Following his passion, he went on to Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in 2020. He is currently a member of the American College of Surgeons and holds privileges at St. Anthony’s, Bayfront, Northside, St. Petersburg General, and Palms of Pasadena Hospitals. Dr. Szpila is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based, and individualized care to every patient. He is trained in both open and endovascular surgery. Clinically, Dr. Szpila is passionate about the management of limb salvage, aortic aneurysmal disease, carotid disease, and dialysis access.
Dr. Conant was born in Derry, New Hampshire before relocating to Roswell, Georgia. He graduated from University of Georgia Honors College with degrees in Biology and Psychology. He spent a year working at the nationally renowned Marcus Autism Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as a Behavior Data Analyst prior to entering into medical school. He then earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2016 and was awarded a Vascular Surgery Research Scholarship for research in clinical outcomes. He completed his Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency in 2022 at the University of South Florida. During his residency Dr. Conant completed an additional year of research in clinical outcomes and screening practices. He presented his research at both regional and national meetings and was awarded the Dr. JJ Karmacharya Award for best aortic research presentation at the Annual Florida Vascular Surgery meeting.
Dr. Conant is a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Society of Vascular Surgery, Vascular and Endovascular Society, as well as the Southern Vascular Society. Dr. Conant is board eligible in Vascular Surgery and specializes in both open and endovascular surgery. He currently holds privileges at St. Anthony’s, Bayfront, Northside, St. Petersburg General as well as Palms of Pasadena Hospital and is accepting new patients at this time.
