Dr. Collins was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. His undergraduate studies were completed at Davidson College in Davidson,North Carolina in 1976. He received his medical degree from the University of South Florida in 1979. His internship and residency in general surgery were served at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Collins completed a post-graduate fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1984. Dr. Collins is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Pinellas County Medical Society and the Society for Vascular Surgery. His special interests include peripheral vascular disease, surgical critical care and laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Collins is the former Chief of Staff at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.
